Ski Fitting Process

  • Timing:
Ski fitting will take place as soon as possible upon your arrival. This may involve:

    • Travelling to a ski shop in town or up the mountain.

    • A late evening ski fit if time and lift schedules permit.

    • Early morning fitting on the first day if fitting on arrival isn’t possible.

  • Patience Required:

    • Multiple schools may be fitting equipment simultaneously, so your understanding and patience are appreciated.

  • Preparation:
Ensure all passengers have a pair of ski socks available during the fitting for the best boot fit.

Pre-Trip Passenger Information

Before your trip, you must complete a Google Form to provide the following details for each passenger:

  • Shoe size (in EU sizes)

  • Height (in centimeters)

  • Weight (in kilograms)

  • Ski experience:

    • Measured in weeks for European destinations.

    • Classified by "Type" for North America.

  • Importance of Timely Submission:

    • This information is sent to ski shops in advance to prepare and allocate equipment.

    • It also helps plan for the number of instructors needed.

  • Additional Forms for North America/Canada:

    • Ski-fit forms, "loco parentis" forms, and Release from Liability Waivers are required.

    • Receipts from ski-fit sessions should be retained as they will be used to verify equipment during return.

Equipment Provided

  • The standard ski equipment package includes:

    • Skis

    • Boots

    • Poles

    • Helmets

  • Upgrades:

    • Any passenger wishing to upgrade equipment must arrange this directly with the ski shop.

    • Additional costs for upgrades are payable by the individual.

Breakages or Losses

  • Reporting:
Report any breakages or losses of equipment to the ski shop immediately.

  • Replacement/Repair Costs:

    • The ski shop will charge for replacements or repairs.

    • Charges must be paid at the time by the individual or the Party Leader.

    • Keep all receipts for insurance claims.

Helmet Policy

  • Helmets are compulsory during all ski lessons and are legally required in most cases.

  • For further details, refer to our Ski Helmet Policy document.

Equipment Tracking

  • All hired equipment will have a barcode or handwritten number.

  • These identifiers will be recorded by the Max Ski representative or ski shop owner to assist in locating misplaced items.

  • In some cases, name labels will be provided for additional identification.

Lift Passes

Issuance and Deposit

  • Your lift pass requirements will be confirmed prior to your trip.

  • Upon arrival at the resort, lift passes will be distributed by your Max Ski Representative.

  • A €5 deposit has been prepaid for each pass by Max Ski. If anyone wishes to keep their lift pass as a souvenir, the €5 deposit will not be refunded.

Lost Lift Passes

  • Ski pass operators do not issue duplicate passes without clear evidence of purchase.

  • Lost lift passes are typically charged at full market value for replacement.

  • To reduce costs, we strongly recommend that staff and students:

    • Take a photo of the lift pass before first use, ensuring the serial number is visible.

    • In cases of loss, replacements may be available at a reduced cost (e.g., €25) if proof can be provided.

Daily Use Tips

  • Passengers should keep their lift passes in their ski jackets to avoid misplacement.

  • European lift systems are electronic, so there is no need to remove passes when accessing lifts.
