Overview
Maxanet lets you build reusable custom email templates (for example, an Upcoming Auctions announcement) and send them as bulk emails to your Contacts list without re-typing every time. This article covers how to create a new custom email template, save it, and send it to your contacts through the built-in bulk emailer.
How to create a new custom email template in Maxanet
Open Admin → Configurations → Email Templates in your Maxanet Admin panel and click Add to create a new template. Give the template a descriptive Name (for example, Upcoming Auctions), and for Category select Custom Email. Fill in the subject line, body content, and any other required fields. Click the green Save button to save your new template. Saved custom templates are available across your account and can be reused as many times as you want.
How to send your custom template as a bulk email to Contacts
Once the template is saved, open Contacts → Email All in Maxanet. On the Email All screen, choose your new custom template from the template dropdown. You can make last-minute edits to the subject or body of the email directly on this screen before sending — edits made here affect only this particular send, not the saved template. Click the green Send button to dispatch the email to your Contacts list.

Common questions
Can I edit the template after I've sent it?
Yes. Reopen the template under Configurations → Email Templates and edit the content. Your next send will use the updated version.
Do edits on the Email All screen change the saved template?
No. Edits made on the Email All screen before sending apply only to that specific email send — the saved template stays intact.
Can I segment who a bulk email goes to, or does it go to everyone?
Bulk emails from the Email All screen go to your Contacts list. For segmented sends, manage your Contacts list or create targeted segments before sending.
What shortcodes can I use in a custom email template?
Custom Email templates have a limited set of shortcodes compared to system email templates. See the Email Templates article for the full shortcode reference by category.
