Overview
Maxanet tracks bidders who start but do not finish the registration process on your auction site and lists them on the Failed Registrations page in the Admin panel, so you can reach out and help them complete signup. Maxanet also sends an automatic follow-up email to any bidder who abandons registration, using a customizable email template. This article explains how to review failed registrations, interpret the email-verified status, and customize the automated recovery email.
How to find the Failed Registrations page in Maxanet
From your Maxanet Admin panel, open Users → Failed Registrations. We highly recommend checking this page daily and reaching out personally to any bidders listed — a quick phone call or email to walk them through the remaining steps can convert many abandoned registrations into active, paying bidders. If a bidder goes back to the site and finishes the registration process on their own, they are automatically removed from the Failed Registrations list.
How to tell if a failed-registration bidder verified their email
The Failed Registrations page includes an Email Verified column. If that column says YES, the potential bidder received and clicked the verification email Maxanet sent them — meaning they got past the email step but stopped before finishing the rest of registration. These bidders are usually the easiest to recover because their email address is already confirmed and you know they are reachable.
How to customize the automated failed-registration email
Maxanet automatically emails bidders who abandon registration using a customizable email template. To edit it, open Admin → Configurations → Email Templates → Bidder Failed Registration. You can change the subject line, body text, and any merge fields to match your brand and encourage the bidder to come back and finish signing up.

Common questions
How often should I check the Failed Registrations page?
At least once per day. Fresh failed registrations are easiest to recover — the longer you wait, the less likely the bidder is to come back on their own.
Will a failed-registration bidder appear in my regular Users list?
No. They appear on the Failed Registrations page until they either complete registration (at which point they move to Users) or you clear them.
Can I disable the automatic failed-registration email?
Yes. Open the Bidder Failed Registration email template under Admin → Configurations → Email Templates and deactivate it if you do not want the automatic follow-up to go out.
Does finishing registration remove the bidder from Failed Registrations automatically?
Yes. As soon as the bidder completes the registration process, Maxanet automatically removes them from the Failed Registrations list and adds them to the regular Users list.
