Overview

If you already have a WordPress-powered website and want to display your Maxanet auction calendar on it, Maxanet provides a WordPress plugin that you install into your site. This article covers how to request the plugin, where to find the configuration settings, and how to set the correct API URL based on which Maxanet server your account runs on.

How to request the Maxanet WordPress plugin

Email support@maxanet.com and request the Maxanet WordPress Plugin ZIP file. The support team will reply with the downloadable ZIP of the latest version (currently version 5.2) along with installation notes. The plugin is free for all Maxanet clients.

How to configure the API URL based on your Maxanet server

After installing the plugin, go to WordPress Admin → Maxanet → Configuration tab. The API URL you enter here depends on which Maxanet production server your account runs on. For the PROD3 server, the API URL is http://prod3.maxanet.auction/WordpressApi/api/v1/auction/list?api-version=1. If you are on PROD1, replace the beginning of the URL accordingly: http://prod1.maxanet.auction/WordpressApi/api/v1/auction/list?api-version=1. If you don't know which server your account is on, contact Maxanet support and they will confirm which URL to use.

What the plugin displays

Once configured, the Maxanet WordPress plugin displays your auction calendar — current auctions, past auctions, upcoming auctions — on any WordPress page where you insert the Maxanet shortcode. You can control which auctions are shown on which pages, and use WordPress's normal styling tools to match your site theme. Version 5.2 adds many new features and enhancements over older plugin versions.
