Every new Maxanet client can get a free WordPress-powered website with a choice of four free templates, or install the Maxanet WordPress plugin on an existing WordPress site. This article covers both paths — how to set up a new Maxanet-hosted WordPress site by pointing your domain A record at Maxanet's IP, and how to install the plugin on a site you already own.

Option A: Get a free Maxanet-hosted WordPress website

During your new Maxanet account setup, you can choose one of 4 WordPress-based templates — all 100% free. Preview templates are available at:

How to point your domain's A record for a free Maxanet WordPress site

Before Maxanet can install and set up your new WordPress site, you must point the A record of your domain name at Maxanet's WordPress hosting IP. In your domain registrar's DNS manager, create or update an A record with these values:

Record Type = A Record
Host = @ (represents your root domain)
Points to = 54.243.186.136
TTL = lowest available setting

Once the DNS change is verified, Maxanet sets up the new WordPress site and emails you the username and password to log in and edit everything — logo, color scheme, navigation menu, pages, content.

Option B: Install the Maxanet WordPress plugin on an existing site

If you already have a WordPress-powered website hosted elsewhere and want to use Maxanet alongside it, email support@maxanet.com and request the Maxanet WordPress Plugin ZIP file and installation instructions. Once installed, the plugin displays your Maxanet auctions (all, current, past, etc.) on pages of your existing WordPress site via shortcodes.
