Overview
Maxanet keeps a full, timestamped history of every Terms and Conditions document each bidder has agreed to β both the registration-level Bidder T&C and each auction-level T&C they accepted before bidding. Admins can view and download an exact copy of any agreed-to Terms, which is critical for chargeback defense and legal disputes. This article explains where to find each bidder's Terms history in Maxanet.
How to open a bidder's Terms and Conditions history in Maxanet
From your Maxanet Admin panel, open the Users page and click the bidder's User number to open their profile. Inside the bidder profile you will see two Terms-related menu options: Auction T&C History and Bidder T&C History. Each of these opens a list of every version of the Terms the bidder agreed to, with a date and time stamp on each record. A 3-dot Actions menu next to each entry lets you download the exact Terms document the bidder saw and agreed to on that date.
The difference between Bidder Terms and Auction Terms
Maxanet stores two separate sets of agreed-to Terms per bidder. Bidder T&C are the registration-level Terms the bidder agreed to when they created their Maxanet account on your site β these apply across all your auctions. Auction T&C are the per-auction Terms the bidder accepted before placing a bid in each specific auction. Both are stored with timestamps so you can prove which version of which Terms the bidder agreed to on which date.

Common questions
Why would I need to download a bidder's agreed Terms?
Most commonly for chargeback defense β when a bidder disputes a charge with their credit card issuer, you can prove they agreed to your Terms (including return/refund policies) on a specific date and time. Also useful for legal disputes.
Are IP addresses recorded with the Terms agreement?
Yes. Maxanet stores the IP address the bidder used when agreeing to each version of the Terms, visible in the Terms history entries alongside the timestamp.
Can bidders see their own Terms history?
The admin panel is the primary place the full history is exposed. Bidders see the current Terms when they register or enter a new auction.
