Overview
When a Maxanet bidder fails to pay for an invoice and you disable their bidding privileges, you should also check whether they have current winning bids in any other active auctions and remove those bids so the second-highest bidder can win instead. Maxanet provides a per-auction Delete Winning Bids action from the bidder's Activity tab, which removes both their current winning bids and any stored max bids in a single auction at a time.
How to open a bidder's Activity tab in Maxanet
From your Maxanet Admin panel, open the Users page, click the bidder's user number to open their profile, and click the Activity tab. The Activity tab lists every current Maxanet auction the bidder has active bids in, with a row per auction so you can see at a glance where they are still actively winning.
How to delete a bidder's winning bids in a specific auction
On the Activity tab, each auction row has a 3-dot Actions menu. Click the 3 dots and select Delete Winning Bids. Maxanet removes every current winning bid and every saved max bid that this user has in that one auction, and the next-highest bidder is automatically promoted into the winning position for each affected item. Important: this action only deletes bids in the one auction you selected β if the bidder is actively winning in multiple auctions, you must repeat this action once per auction.
Common questions
Does deleting winning bids also delete the bidder's max bids?
Yes. Both current winning bids and stored max bids for the selected auction are removed in one action.
What happens to items the bidder was winning after their bids are deleted?
Maxanet automatically promotes the second-highest bidder on each affected item into the winning position. The next bidder's existing max bid (if any) is honored as the new winning bid.
Is there a faster way to delete winning bids across multiple auctions?
Yes. When you disable a bidder's bidding privileges from the Users page, the Disable Bidding pop-up has a 'Delete All current winning bids' option that removes wins across every auction at once. Use that instead when you want a one-click cleanup.
Is this action reversible?
No. Once you delete a bidder's winning bids, the next-highest bidder is promoted and the records are updated. You cannot undo this β use with care.
