What are the prerequisites for setting up home charging for employees?

Help your team charge at home and get reimbursed seamlessly.

Written by Zeynep

You want to enable your employees to charge their company vehicles at home and handle reimbursement smoothly through Mbrella. Here's what you need to have in place before you get started.

Before your employees can charge at home and get reimbursed, make sure these four things are set up:

  1. Mbrella Charge Pass issued – Each employee needs their own Mbrella Charge Pass to charge at home.

  2. Home chargers registered in LMS – The employees' home chargers must be registered under the D'Ieteren Energy account in LMS (Last Mile Solutions).

  3. Chargers configured as semi-public – The home chargers must be set to accept roaming cards like Mbrella Charge. They don't need to be visible to the public, just capable of accepting roaming transactions.

  4. Payroll connection active – Home charging reimbursement via Mbrella currently works only if you have an active payroll connection. If you're not sure or need help setting this up, reach out to charge.support@mbrella.eu.

💡 Tip: Once these four prerequisites are in place, home charging sessions will flow automatically into your payroll export.
