As you may or may not (yet) know, housing cost expenses are only allowed if they meet one of 2 strict conditions:
Employee lives within 10km from the office (as the crow flies).
Employee works at least 50% of the time from home that month.
With our Housing Cost Eligibility Checker, HR admins can easily see if an employee meets these conditions directly on each housing expense. How? Two ways:
If you use the work-from-home allowance on Mbrella, we will know if the employee works from home at least 50% of the time.
If the employee lives within 10 km from the office, and their office and home address are entered in the settings of the employee, the platform will automatically calculate if the distance is less than or equal to 10 km (as the crow flies).
Now, when you want to approve a housing cost expense, you will automatically see if the employee is eligible or not (see the gif below).
