As a fleet manager, you may encounter situations where you don't have information on employees' home charging stations.

Here are some reasons why this might happen and what you can do about it:

  1. Open Charge Point Interface (OCPI) Connection Requirement: D'Ieteren Energy by Mbrella requires an OCPI connection to work with private home chargers. If an employee's home charger doesn't have an OCPI connection, we won't be able to receive information about their charging sessions.

  2. Compatibility Issues: Some Charge Point Operators (CPO) may not be compatible with D'Ieteren Energy by Mbrella. For example, if an employee's home charger is operated by a CPO that doesn't have an OCPI connection or isn't covered by our roaming partner, we won't receive data from that charger.

  3. Charger Registration: Employees need to properly register their home chargers within the D'Ieteren Energy by Mbrella system. If a charger hasn't been registered or linked to the employee's account, it won't appear in your fleet overview.

  4. Multiple Vehicles Issue: If an employee has multiple vehicles registered in the D'Ieteren Energy by Mbrella app (e.g., a company car and a personal car), it might be difficult to distinguish which charging sessions should be reimbursed.

  5. Charger Type Limitations: Some features, like adding a home charger directly through the mobile app, may only be available for specific types of chargers (e.g., those with eSIM cards).

  6. Data Transmission Delays: There might be delays in receiving charging data from home stations.

What you can do:

  1. Verify OCPI Connections: contact with EV charger provider to ensure all employees' home chargers have proper OCPI connections.

  2. Check CPO Compatibility: Confirm that the CPOs used by your employees are compatible with D'Ieteren Energy by Mbrella. Check our article Supported EV Charging networks?

  3. Employee Education: Provide clear instructions to employees on properly registering their home chargers in the Mbrella Charge system.
