Meadow's All-Inclusive Weedmaps Integration Guide

Every step to set up the Weedmaps integration

Updated yesterday

What the Weedmaps integration does

Meadow connects with Weedmaps in two ways β€” and both are designed to save you time.

  • Live menu integration β€” Your Weedmaps menu stays in sync with Meadow automatically. Restock a product, change a price, or add a special? It updates on Weedmaps without you lifting a finger. Manage one menu in Meadow and it shows up everywhere.

  • Orders integration β€” Orders placed on Weedmaps flow directly into your Meadow POS. No copy-pasting, no manual entry. Orders are tracked, managed, and fulfilled in one place.

Why it matters

  • One menu, everywhere. Stop toggling between platforms to update products

  • Fewer errors. Catalogs, inventory, taxes, and promos sync automatically

  • Better checkout for customers. Totals, discounts, taxes, and loyalty all show up in one view

  • Streamlined fulfillment. Orders, delivery, and reporting all connect together

Before you start

You'll need three things:

  1. A Basic Listing account (minimum) with Weedmaps

  2. Weedmaps Orders enabled on your Weedmaps account

  3. The Weedmaps Live Menu Integration set up first (if you don't already have it)

Need help?

Part 1: Set up the live menu integration

Already have the live menu? If your live menu integration is already active, skip Part 1 and start with Part 2 below.

Get your products ready

For products in Meadow to appear on Weedmaps, each one needs to:

  • Have a Weedmaps category assigned

  • Be set to Active

  • Be marked as Available in the Menu Status section of the Product Page

🚨 A few things to know

  • Products with 0 inventory will sync to Weedmaps but won't display to customers

  • When you activate the integration, all existing products are removed from Weedmaps and your menu starts fresh

  • You can edit product prices in Weedmaps. They will override Meadow prices.

  • You cannot edit product photos or names in Weedmaps. Only edit products in Meadow.

Connect Meadow to Weedmaps

  1. Log in to your account at Weedmaps.com

  2. Find your Weedmaps ID (WMID) β€” it's on the top menu

  3. Click POS Integration

  4. Select Meadow as your POS, then click Save

  5. Click "Yes, continue"

  6. Log into Meadow Admin at admin.getmeadow.com

  7. Select "New Integration" under "Weedmaps Integrations"

  8. Enter your WMID and Test Connectivity.

  9. If your connectivity test fails, contact Weedmaps to activate it.

  10. Select either an Inventory Location or Delivery Zone to display on your Weedmaps menu.

Note: You can have multiple WMIDs synced to multiple inventory locations or delivery zones to widen your reach.

After you confirm:

  • Your existing menu items are automatically un-published

  • Your menu will appear blank until sync completes

  • The POS Integration page will show "Meadow"

  • Sync takes about 30 minutes

Part 2: Set up the orders integration

Generate your API key in Meadow

You'll need Full Privilege Admin access to see the API Settings page.

  1. Make sure you have Pick up orders and/or Delivery orders activated in your Meadow settings.

  2. In Meadow Admin, go to API Settings (Settings > API or visit https://admin.getmeadow.com/settings/api)

  3. Click "Add Integration"

  4. Under Company, select "Weedmaps - Orders"

  5. Check the "Create Orders" box

  6. Check the "Menu Access" box

  7. Optional: Check "Orders are created with the status 'new'"

    • If checked: Weedmaps orders are created as "new" in Meadow, which assigns inventory using the location set under your Weedmaps Integration settings

    • If unchecked: Orders are created as "draft," so inventory isn't assigned until you manually choose the location for that order

  8. Click "Create"

  9. Copy your API key and send it to your Weedmaps support contact or email help@weedmaps.com - Always cc support@getmeadow.com

Important: Treat your API key like a password. Only share it with authorized contacts at Weedmaps. Weedmaps support will create a test order to confirm the integration is working.

Matching products between Meadow and Weedmaps

Keep it simple β€” manage all product info in Meadow and let it sync over:

  1. Names, descriptions, photos, and pricing should all live in Meadow

  2. You can import photos and descriptions from Weedmaps to existing Meadow products through verifications

  3. Use Product Details > Menu Availability to control where each product shows up β€” Weedmaps, POS, embed, or all three

    • The "Weedmaps Special" option makes a product visible only on Weedmaps

Common questions

What is a Weedmaps category?

Every product needs a Weedmaps category so it appears in the right section on your listing. You assign this in the product page in Meadow.

Can I choose which products show up on Weedmaps?

Yes. Use Menu Availability in Meadow to decide what appears on Weedmaps, POS, embed, or Leafly. Navigate to a Product Profile in Meadow, then select the Menu Status tab, and enable/disable visibility.

My product is not showing up on Weedmaps. What should I check?

  • Make sure the product has: (1) a Weedmaps category, (2) Active status, (3) Available in Menu Status.

  • Then check, (4) inventory greater than 0 in the assigned inventory location, (5) There is an online menu threshold set and this product is below your set threshold. There's a backlog in the queue to publish to WM, or (6) there's a backlog in the queue to publish to WM.

Why didn't this order sync from Weedmaps to Meadow?

There could be a few reasons: (1) The order exceeds Purchase Limits, (2) A product that was ordered does not have sufficient inventory, (3) There is an issue with your API integration. Next steps: Email Weedmaps (help@weedmaps.com) and Meadow (support@getmeadow.com) so we can troubleshoot together.

How long does the first sync take?

About 30 minutes after you activate the integration.

What happens to my current Weedmaps menu?

All existing products are removed and replaced with your Meadow inventory. You start with a clean slate.

Why was this delivery order fulfilled without a payment type?

Weedmaps does not send Payment Method selections to Meadow. You need to manually select the payment method the customer is using before fulfilling the order.
