Customer profile picture at Intake and Point of Sale

See the customer's face at a glance when their profile is selected in the Intake or POS iPad app — automatically detected from their Photo ID on file.

Your security, front desk, point of sale team, or anyone who uses customer profiles in the Intake or Point of Sale iOS tools can now see the customer's face when a profile is selected.

How it works

When a customer profile is selected — by scanning an ID or searching by name, phone, or email — the app checks if the customer has a Photo ID document attached to their profile. If an image is on file, the app automatically detects the customer's face from the ID and displays it at the top of their profile.

This works in both Customer Intake and Point of Sale on the iPad.

What you need to know

  • The profile picture appears automatically — no setup required

  • The image is pulled from the Photo ID document already attached to the customer's profile

  • If the image is unclear or a face can't be detected, the app displays "No profile image"

  • This feature works in both Intake and POS tools on the iPad

How to make sure it works for your customers

For the profile picture to appear, the customer needs a Photo ID image on file. You can add one during intake:

  1. Open the customer's profile in Customer Intake or Admin

  2. Scroll to Documents

  3. Add a Photo ID by scanning or photographing the customer's ID

Once the image is saved, the app will detect the face automatically the next time the profile is opened.

Common questions

Do I need to upload a separate profile photo?

No. The app uses the Photo ID document already on the customer's profile. No separate photo is needed.

What if the customer doesn't have a Photo ID on file?

The profile will display "No profile image." You can add a Photo ID at any time from the Intake app or Admin.

Does this work on all iPads?

Yes — any iPad running the Meadow iOS app with Intake or POS will show the profile picture.
