Got a lot of inventory and cycle count questions? Take this online video training course to learn about managing inventory in Meadow

Whether monthly, weekly or even more frequently, it's important to keep track of your products on hand and make sure everything adds up. Using cycle counts makes it easy to confirm that your inventory is accurate and losses are detectable. Access cycle counts from the app Tool Select.

Pro tip: Cycle counting is a lot easier with barcodes.

Select the Cycle Count tool in the app.

To create a Cycle Count, just click the plus sign in the top right of the window.

Name your cycle count (optional)

  • Select the open cycle count to start counting stock and reconcile any discrepancies between expected and actual quantities.

  • You can also leave a partially completed cycle count open and continue counting your stock where you left off later.

  • When you open a cycle count, you can Edit, Submit or Delete it.

  • Select Edit to open the cycle count and continue adding or changing values for products in the cycle count.

  • Select Submit when you are done adding products to a count to send it for manager review.

  • Select Delete to remove this cycle count and any data in it. This action cannot be undone and any product counts will be lost.

Select Edit to open the cycle count. You can now add items using the Add Product button or by scanning a barcode.

  • Products are added to the count in alphabetical order (by product name).

  • If you have added many products to the count, scanning a product will scroll to locate it (and add 1 unit).

  • All inactive products will not appear on an iPad cycle count. You will need to add inactive products to your cycle counts from admin

  • When you are finished with your cycle count, select Submit. The count will be submitted for manager review with the sum of all quantities users have added.

One a cycle count is Submitted, only managers can edit it.

  • Non-manager users can still view their own actions on the count, but a manager will have to re-open the count for them to make any further changes.

  • Submitted counts can only be finalized in Admin by managers.

To review and finalize a submitted cycle count, go to Admin.
