Treatment Instructions
Treatment technique: Prior to using the Luma, watch the treatment overview video included in the app or on the MedcoVet website. Make sure that the comb is gently massaged into the fur and sits flush against the area to be treated so that the light exiting the comb reaches the skin.
Also, be sure to apply slight pressure with the comb to improve penetration depth.
Treatment time will be prescribed by your veterinary care provider. Carefully follow the protocol instructions for where, how long, and how often to treat. For treatment areas larger than the device spot size, divide the treatment area into sections and treat each section separately. Choose sections that do not overlap and include both healthy and treated skin in each treatment section.
An example of Luma irradiation:
1. Irradiation of a lick granuloma wound (the wound area is irradiated to cover the entire wound including the edges with an effort not to overlap)
2. Luma irradiation of a local lymph node.
