A pre-sell is when you sell an offer before the content or deliverables are ready. You can create this type of offer directly in your MemberVault account, which will allow you to:
Determine if there is enough interest for you to create the content and avoid wasting time creating an offer your people won't buy
Co-create the content with people who are excited for the thing they bought early access to (a huge energy boost!)
When selling your pre-sell offer, always disclose that the content isn't ready yet, and when it will be available. It is typical to offer a discount or special bonus for your early buyers.
We also recommend including an intake form inside your MemberVault product, so that you can nurture your early buyers, and get insights into what they need the most help with.
HOW TO BUILD THIS:
Create your product in MV, and set the product type to date drip and the signup type to "Paid." Keep it turned to invisible until you're ready to share it.
Create one module that is available right away for your pre-sell members. This is where you'll include your intake form.
Create additional modules where you'll add the paid content. Set those dates to the date when the product will be ready.
For the intake form piece -- create the first module/lesson with quiz questions (Our CEO, Erin Kelly, will usually do 90% multiple choice, and one "why did you buy now" essay question).

Here's a sample timeline for pre-selling your offer:
Let your audience know you have a new offer that will release soon but is now available to buy at a special discounted price.
When your pre-sell members buy the product, they'll get automatic access and be able to see that the content will drip out to them on the official release date.
On your release date, change the product to full price, and continue selling from there.
