This article is about sharing the link to your MV products.

Usually we want to share the main Product link where people can explore the Teaser Module and learn what the Product is all about.

But sometimes you want to give people the link to buy your Product right away, meaning the checkout cart opens as soon as they click the link.

That's very useful for sharing links in an email to people who have already collected some EP in your account and shown that they are interested in the Product.

This article will tell you how to get the Direct Purchase link so you can take visitors straight to the MV checkout cart.

STEP 1: SELECT THE PRODUCT

Start at the Navigation bar on the left side of your Admin area.

Click into Content > Products

Locate the product you wish to share, then click the little Gear icon under the word "Action" on the right side of the screen.

STEP 2: GET THE LINK

The little gear icon will open a new popup window where you can see a list of links.

The main Product Link is first, the Direct Purchase Link is second, and the "One-Click" link is third.

In this case we want to copy the Direct Purchase Link.

Note: this Direct link only appears when the product SignUp Options are set to "Purchase". If your SignUp option is set to "Form" or "Link" you will not see the Direct Purchase Link in this popup.

Let's quickly define the other links so nobody gets lost.

Product Link: the main link to an MV Product. This will bypass the whole MV welcome area and take people to directly a single Product. They'll see what's in your "Promo Text" field when they get here (not the checkout cart).

One-Click Link: this link allows you to send an email where your subscribers can click the link and automatically get logged-in to your MV. Use this in connection with your email service. More Info on one-click links.

STEP 3: COPY THE DIRECT LINK

Do ctrl+C or cmd+C to copy the Direct Purchase Link so you can paste it into an email, blog post, social media post or anyplace else you would like to share it.

The active ingredient of the Direct Purchase link is the part at the end where we see the text:

/?action=signup

When clicked, this link will take the viewer to the Product page with the checkout cart already open.

See the following screenshot for an example.

It's always a good idea to paste the link into a new Browser Tab before you share it, to make sure you have the correct one.

STEP 4: INCLUDE COUPON CODES

For maximum engagement, combine the power of the Direct Purchase Link with a Coupon Code, to make an irresistible experience for your visitors!

This is a great link to share in an email where someone has earned a certain number of EP, and you're sending a "member's discount" email to reward them.

Here's how you do that.

Next to the direct purchase link there's a little dropdown box where you can select a coupon code.

If you have a coupon code setup for this Product, you'll be able to click the arrow, open the dropdown menu and select the coupon code you wish to use.

Select the coupon code first, then copy the link.

When people click it, now the checkout cart will open with the coupon already applied!

The link will look something like this:

Notice that after the "action=signup" detail there's another piece that says "&coupon=[your coupon code]"

In this link, my coupon code is titled "onetimeoffer". Yours will appear with whatever name you chose for your coupon code.

To make a new coupon code, go to the Payment Options, inside your Sign Up Options section of the Product.

STEP 5: MAKE A SHORT LINK

Sometimes you want to share a short compact link that's easy to remember, rather than a long one that takes up all the space in your social media post.

That's when it comes in handy to make a custom redirect link, otherwise known as a "short link."

First, copy your Direct Purchase Link (with coupon code if desired).

Now navigate to Content > Links.

In the Name field, enter something that will remind you why you made this short link (this only appears in the Admin view).

Next, enter what you would like your audience to see in the URL, in the "custom-link" field. This will be added to the end of your subdomain or custom domain URL.

At the bottom, this is important, paste in the Direct Purchase Link that you copied from your Product details.

Finally, click "Add Custom Redirect Link" and MV will create it for you.

Next time you click "Links" in the sidebar, you'll be able to see a list of your short links which you can copy and paste to share, instead of the long one.

This allows you to share a nice short link that doesn't take up tons of space... which also makes it less likely for anybody to make a mistake when they're copying, pasting and sharing the link to your MV Products.

STEP 6: SHARE AND PROMOTE!

Now you know how to make Direct Purchase links using Coupon Codes and Short Links, to share your best offers with your most engaged audience.

Just think of bringing your audience one step closer to your MV, like a trail of cookies.
