if you're sharing your ungated community on social, etc, they need to be logged in to engage with your community. If it's an ungated community, they'll be able to see the posts and comments in the community without signing in, but to post, comment or like they'll need to sign in.

But what if they haven't signed up for a product yet, and don't have any sign in information. Currently we don't have a sign up option just for the community, but we will soon!

Till then, our recommendation is to create an offer inside your MV that is specific to your ungated community, and then link to that in your community sidebar. More on using our Offers feature here.

You could also just use the community sidebar to promote an existing free product, and then just make sure that in the welcome email for the free product you say -- "come play in my community" and have the community link to close the loop for people who are signing up to engage in your community.
