The Top Keywords feature gives you a detailed breakdown of the most important terms driving your collected mentions, helping you understand performance and conversation trends in a structured, data-driven way.
Unlike visual summaries such as the Keyword Cloud, this view focuses on keyword performance metrics ranked by popularity for deeper analysis.
With Top Keywords, you can find the most frequently used keywords and hashtags (up to 1K) in your brand or competitor mentions.
Where to find it
You can access Top Keywords from the main menu.
From here, you can also:
View your trackers (hidden by default for clarity, but can be revealed when needed)
Apply filters
Use Boolean search
Adjust the calendar date range
Why it’s useful
The Top Keywords feature helps you:
Identify high-performing topics and narratives
Track keyword-level performance over time
Understand geographic impact per keyword
Compare engagement and sentiment at a granular level
Optimize your tracking strategy based on real usage patterns
What insights you can get with Top Keywords
The Top Keywords table is sampled from up to 40K mentions by default, ensuring fast loading while maintaining accuracy.
For deeper analysis, you also have the option to load up to 100K mentions, although this may take slightly longer to process.
Each keyword includes the following metrics:
Rank: position of the keyword based on performance
Keyword name
Trend indicator: showing whether it is rising or declining
Number of Mentions
Reach
Engagement
Sentiment breakdown: positive & negative
Top country: where the keyword is most active
Keyword configuration options
To refine your results, you can adjust how keywords are processed:
Word grouping options:
1-word keywords
2-word keywords
3-word keywords
Mixed mode (default)
Stop-words filtering:
Enabled by default to remove irrelevant common words
Fully embedded into the system, but can be disabled if needed
Hashtag-only mode:
Allows you to view only hashtag-based keywords for more social-focused analysis
Advanced settings
In advanced configuration, you also have the option to hide mention tracker keywords (enabled by default).
This helps keep the view focused on organic keyword performance. However, you can disable it if you want a more complete dataset, including tracker-specific terms.
For plans that include custom dashboards, Top Keywords is also available as a component that can be added directly to your dashboard.
