How to Find Top Mentioners (Influencers)

The Top Mentioners feature in Mentionlytics helps you identify the people, social media accounts, channels, and websites that are actively sharing content related to your monitored keywords.

It is particularly useful for influencer discovery, as you can identify accounts already participating in conversations relevant to your brand or industry and evaluate them based on their activity, audience, engagement, and mentions.

With Top Mentioners, you can:

To access the complete list of your Top Mentioners, click Top Mentioners from the left-hand navigation menu.

The Top Mentioners page provides an overview of the accounts and sources generating mentions related to your monitored keywords during the selected date range.

At the top of the page, you can also see an overview of your monitoring activity, including Total Mentions, Social Reach, Social Engagement, and Sentiment Analysis.

Your Top Mentioners are displayed in a table, allowing you to easily compare the accounts and sources participating in conversations around your monitored topics.

This makes it easier to evaluate potential influencers based not only on their audience size but also on how actively they participate in conversations relevant to your brand.

At the top of the page, you can select different source icons to focus your analysis on a particular channel.

You can also use Trackers and Filters to narrow down the results and focus on the mentioners most relevant to your analysis.

For example, if you are specifically looking for Instagram influencers, you can select the YouTube source to focus on YouTube mentioners related to your monitored keywords.

The Top Mentioners table can also help you identify different types of influential accounts depending on what you are looking for.

For example, you can sort by Mentions to find the accounts that have mentioned your monitored keywords most frequently, or by Followers to identify accounts with the largest available audiences.

You can also use the other available columns to further evaluate the accounts based on their activity and performance.

Click on a Top Mentioner's profile to explore the available information about that account.

Depending on the source, you can view additional profile information and better understand who the mentioner is.

You can also use the Mentions information to explore the content associated with a particular mentioner and understand what they are saying about your monitored keywords.

This is particularly useful when researching potential influencers, as a large number of followers does not necessarily mean that an account is relevant to your brand. Reviewing both their audience and their actual mentions gives you a better understanding of their relevance.

Top Mentioners can also appear as individual boxes within your dashboards, providing a quick overview of the most prominent mentioners across different sources.

These boxes provide a quick way to identify important accounts and sources directly from your dashboard, while the dedicated Top Mentioners page gives you a more detailed view for further analysis.

If you are looking for influencers who have mentioned your target keywords most frequently, you can sort the results by Mentions by clicking on the corresponding column. Alternatively, click on Followers to sort the results based on audience size and identify mentioners with the largest following.

To explore a Top Mentioner in more detail, click on their profile name to view the available profile information.

You can also click on their number of mentions to see all the mentions they have made related to your monitored keyword(s). This allows you to better understand their activity and the context in which they are discussing your brand or topics.

For supported social media channels, you can open individual mentions directly on the original platform, where you can interact with the content using the actions available on that platform, such as replying, sharing, or reposting.

Finally, you can export your Top Mentioners results for offline analysis or reporting. Click the Download button in the top-right corner of the page and select the available export option to save your results.
