How to Set Up Slack Notifications
1.Sign in to Mentionlytics
Log in to your Mentionlytics account, or sign up for a free trial if you do not have an account yet.
2.Navigate to Notification Settings
In your Mentionlytics dashboard, click on the Settings tab in the main navigation menu and select Notifications. Then, click the Add to Slack button.
3.Select Your Tracker Category
Choose the Mention Tracker Category you would like to receive notifications for from the dropdown menu.
4.Filter Specific Trackers (Optional)
By default, all trackers within the selected category are enabled. Uncheck the All Mention Trackers checkbox if you want to select specific individual trackers, then click Add Slack.
5.Authorize and Select Slack Channel
A Slack authorization window will open. Select the specific Slack channel where you want your notifications to post, and click Allow at the bottom of the popup.
6.Confirm Setup
A success message will appear, and the popup window will close automatically. Your Slack notification channel is now successfully connected!
Connecting to a Private Slack Channel
To send notifications to a private Slack channel, follow these additional steps:
Complete the standard integration process using the steps outlined above.
Open the private channel in your Slack desktop or mobile app.
In the channel's message box, type
@mentionlyticsand press Enter to invite the bot.
Once invited, the Mentionlytics bot will automatically begin posting notifications into your private channel.
