This feature allows you to manually add mentions from any social media platform or website.
This is essential for capturing mentions the system may have missed or couldn't track due to your current settings, ensuring your tracker is 100% complete.
How to manually add a single mention
To manually add a mention in Mentionlytics:
Go to the left menu and select Settings.
Choose the option to Add Mention Manually.
Enter the URL of the post or article you want to add. (Tab: Add from URL)
Assign it to the relevant tracker.
Important Note on Rules: The mentions you add must still follow the Mentionlytics source rules. For example, you cannot add a URL from a post on a private Facebook profile.

How to add multiple mentions at once
If you like to add multiple mentions at once, copy-paste mention URLs separated by a comma, a semicolon, or a space character.
Keep in mind that if you add a mention this way, it might need a few minutes for it to appear on your dashboard.
There is no time limit on how far back you can add mentions. Older mentions can be added without issue.
How to Add a Custom Mention (No URL)
If you have a mention that cannot be added via a URL (due to source rules or the type of media, e.g., a printed quote), you can add it manually:
Select the second tab: “Add manually”.
Enter the relevant information (source, date, text, etc.) in the dialog box.
The custom mention will be added directly to your mentions dashboard.
How to filter manually added mentions
If you want to filter the custom mentions, you can do so by filtering the option “Channel” → “Manual”.
