Summary
For users to log in with Microsoft accounts, Mercator AI needs to work with your IT Department to enable Microsoft SSO for your organization.
Because Microsoft login is an enterprise service, it strictly controls which systems can authenticate via Microsoft SSO. This requires explicit consent from your system administrator.
If your company already uses Microsoft login for other apps, enabling Mercator AI will follow the same standard process your IT team has completed before.
Use Cases
Your company is onboarding and has requested that Microsoft SSO be enabled.
An existing user with an organization where Mercator AI has not setup Microsoft SSO with their company, tries to use Microsoft SSO and gets this error message.
IT Administrator Instructions
1. I already have a Mercator AI account. What should I do?
Go to the Mercator AI login page and sign in.
Navigate to Account Settings > Account Settings (top-right corner).
Click “Sign up with Microsoft”.
This will trigger the Microsoft SSO consent process.
Be sure to grant consent on behalf of your organization.
✅ Once complete, Microsoft SSO will be enabled for Mercator AI across your organization.
2. I don’t have a Mercator AI account yet. How do I get one?
Contact Mercator AI Support and request an invitation. Provide:
Your admin email address.
Confirmation that this account has permission to enable Microsoft SSO.
You’ll receive an invitation email.
Click “Join Now” or follow the provided link in the email to create your account.
On the signup page, choose “Sign up with Microsoft” to initiate the SSO consent process.
Be sure to grant consent on behalf of your organization.
✅ Once complete, Microsoft SSO will be enabled for Mercator AI across your organization.
3. What if I didn’t see the “Consent on behalf of your organization” checkbox?
If the consent option didn’t appear - or if you didn’t select it - you can grant consent directly through the Microsoft Entra Admin Center:
Log in to the Microsoft Entra Admin Center.
Go to Enterprise Applications and search for Mercator AI.
Open the app and select the Permissions tab.
Click “Grant admin consent for [Your Organization].”
In the popup, review and click Accept.
✅ Once complete, Microsoft SSO will be enabled for Mercator AI across your organization.
Verification
After completing the Microsoft SSO steps, please notify Mercator AI support. We will verify the setup by:
Confirming the IT Administrator has logged in to the Mercator AI app.
Confirming the IT Administrator has Microsoft SSO enabled.
