With the exception of Review stages, every job stage must be linked to a campaign.
A campaign consists of predefined messages (text, images, videos, files) and questions designed to inform candidates and collect or share information. Campaigns are created and managed using the Campaign Editor.
The campaign linked to a stage is automatically sent to the candidate via the relevant channel (e.g. WhatsApp or SMS) when their application is either created in that stage or moved into it.
When adding any job stage - except a Review Stage - you must configure its corresponding campaign. If a job stage campaign is not configured, candidates will receive empty messages via the relevant channel (e.g. WhatsApp or SMS).
Create job stage campaigns
After adding a new job stage to a job, click on 'Edit Campaign' in the campaign section. This will bring you into the campaign editor where you can create the relevant job stage campaign.
Available campaign modules in the Campaign Editor vary based on the job stage type. Every campaign includes a default welcome message and a conclusion message.
Welcome message
Every job stage campaign must start with a welcome message. Read more about welcome messages and why they cannot be customised here.
Body modules
Body modules define the main content of a campaign, based on its objective. Available modules vary by stage type:
Content: Share text, images, videos, or documents.
Questions: Collect details or responses from candidates.
Video/Voice Interview: Set up asynchronous video interviews.
Collect: Request document or file uploads from candidates.
E-Sign: Request electronic signatures.
Integration: Trigger partner workflows such as forms, background checks, or assessments via Mercu.
Conclusion Message
All job stage campaigns, except for Reject and Schedule stages, end with a conclusion message. This message confirms to the candidate that they have completed the campaign.
Quick note on campaign language: The campaign language - and therefore the language of the available welcome message templates - is set in the job profile (Edit Job > Profile tab).
Edit job stage campaigns
You can edit job stage campaigns at any time by reopening them in the editor. Once you save your changes, they go live immediately. Candidates already in progress will continue based on the updated campaign content.
