Mercu enables candidates to apply for multiple jobs simultaneously.
Overview
Each application is created as a unique entry linked to the same candidate, allowing you to view all of a candidate's applications within their profile.
Queuing Logic for Concurrent Applications
When a candidate (we use phone number as a unique identifier) applies for multiple jobs simultaneously, Mercu delivers one job stage campaign at a time and queues the others.
Once the candidate completes the first job stage campaign, the next queued campaign is automatically delivered. Candidates can withdraw their applications at any time, which then automatically moves up the next queued job stage campaign.
You can read more about job stage campaigns here and campaign enrolment statuses here.
Example
Imagine two jobs—one in Sydney and another in Melbourne.
If a candidate applies to both jobs via the Apply Link—first for Sydney and then for Melbourne—they’ll immediately begin receiving messages from the first job stage campaign of the Sydney job.
Until the candidate completes that stage, all other job stage campaigns of any other application remain queued. Once the Sydney campaign is completed, the next queued campaign (Melbourne) is automatically delivered.
This approach keeps each application separate, maintaining a single, organised application thread without mixing messages across roles.
Identify 'Queued' campaign enrolment status
To identify whether the campaign enrolment for an application is currently 'Queued', you can check the campaign enrolment status either from the table or kanban view. For more details on campaign enrolment statuses, please see here.
