After Microvellum has been installed, there are options for how to display the Microvellum Palette.
The Microvellum Palette can be dragged and positioned by clicking in and dragging from the Microvellum header section.

Microvellum Palette Context Menu
When the Microvellum Palette is floating (not docked), right-click the Microvellum header to bring up the context menu.

Move – An option for moving and resizing the Microvellum Palette. The palette can be moved by dragging from the Microvellum header bar, bypassing the context menu item.
Size – An option for resizing the Microvellum Palette. The palette can be resized by hovering over the edge of the palette, bypassing the context menu item.
Allow Docking – When this is checked, the Microvellum Palette can be docked by dragging it to the left or right of the main Drawing Window. Unchecked keeps the Microvellum Palette as a floating window.
Anchor Left – Automatically docks the Microvellum Palette to the left of the main Drawing Window.
Anchor Right – Automatically docks the Microvellum Palette to the right of the main Drawing Window.
Anchor Left and Right will dock the Microvellum Palette in Hidden mode. To unhide temporarily, hover over the Microvellum header bar. To unhide permanently, select Close at the top of the Microvellum header bar.
Auto-Hide – Hides the Microvellum Palette when it is not in use. To unhide temporarily, hover over the Microvellum header bar.
Auto-Hide only applies when the Palette is floating. To dock the Palette in hidden mode, use the Anchor Left, or Anchor Right commands. Hiding the Microvellum Palette is used to increase the space in the work area. The same effect can be had by moving the Microvellum Palette to a secondary monitor while you are working in the drawing area. Remember when the palette is moved to a secondary monitor, so that it can be retrieved when needed.
Transparency – Opens the Transparency Window:

Determines how transparent the palette will be when it IS NOT in use.
Determines how transparent the palette will be when it IS in use. Hover over the palette to enact the Rollover setting.
Apply settings to all palettes or disable all window transparency.

Locking the Microvellum Palette
The Microvellum Palette can be locked in any position determined by the user. To do this, select the Customization button in the bottom right of the window > Select Lock UI > Select the arrow next to the Lock UI icon to open the fly-out menu.

To lock the Microvellum Palette, select Docked Windows (if the palette is docked), or Floating Windows (if the palette is floating). Lock UI is a function of AutoCAD.
When a palette is locked, it can only be moved when holding down CTRL.
Troubleshooting
The Microvellum Palette is missing:
Check secondary monitor(s).
Type “MVTB7” into the command line.
The Microvellum Palette has come undocked:
Right-click the Microvellum header of the Toolbox Palette, ensure “Allow Docking” is checked. Drag the palette to the side of the Drawing Window to dock it.
The Microvellum Palette Context Menu only says, “Allow Docking.”
Undock the palette to access the full context menu (Figure 02).
The Microvellum Palette is locked in place.
To move temporarily, hold down CTRL and drag the palette. To unlock permanently, select the Lock UI icon and unselect either Floating Windows or Docked Windows, depending on whether the Toolbox palette is docked or not.
