Toe Kick Assembly: Ladder Style vs. Toe Kick Assembly Box

Why Ladder Style toe kicks need a separate Ladder product, and when to use Toe Kick Assembly Box instead.

In the Foundation Library, the base under a cabinet is controlled by the cabinet's Toe Kick Assembly setting. The two options behave differently.

Toe Kick Assembly Box — builds a toe kick base under each cabinet, as part of that cabinet. Use this if you want a base below every cabinet.

Ladder Style — the cabinet does not build its own base. The ladder base is a separate product (the Ladder product) that you draw under a run of cabinets.

Toe Kick Parts Are Missing with Ladder Style

Symptom: "Ladder toe kick not working", or no toe kick parts generate after you switch a cabinet to Ladder Style.

Cause: the cabinet is set to Ladder Style, but the Ladder product has not been drawn. This is expected behaviour. It is not caused by a library or software update.

Fix: draw the Ladder product under the cabinets, or switch the cabinets to Toe Kick Assembly Box.

If toe kick parts are still missing with Toe Kick Assembly Box selected, submit a support case with the project attached.
