FlexTime Restrictions
All assignments/check-ins respect these rules automatically:
No Party Groups: prevent students from registering or being assigned alongside others in that group. Can also apply to hall passes.
No Registration List: blocks selected students entirely—they can’t self-register or be placed in any activity.
Teachers get instant alerts if trying to place restricted students; students simply won’t see blocked options
FAQs
FAQs
Can students switch their own activities?
Yes, Students can switch their own activities if they were originally Registered and the self-registration window is still open. If a student was Assigned by a staff member, the activity is locked, and the student cannot change it themselves.
Do teachers get notified when a student signs up for their activity?
No, Teachers do not receive a notification when a student self-registers for a Flex activity. To see your current roster, you should check the Flex Activity or Period Roster directly for updated numbers.
What happens if a student is on a "No Registration List"?
If a student is added to a No Registration List, they are blocked from the system. They will not be able to self-register for any activities, and staff will receive an alert if they try to manually place the student in a session.
Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting
Problem: A student says they can't see an activity to register.
Solution: Check that the Flex Period and the Activity Template both have "Allow student registration" toggled ON. Also, verify that the registration deadline has not passed, as this will trigger a "Past Deadline" message.
Problem: I can't move a student to my activity.
Solution: Check if the student is already Assigned to another session. If they are locked in by an Admin, you may need Manager permissions to override that assignment.
