Managing hallway traffic is essential for campus safety and reducing distractions. You can limit how many students are out of class by using No Party Groups, Campus Blackout Schedules, and Pass Lists. These tools help you prevent specific students from meeting up, block pass creation during the first or last minutes of class, and manage individual student pass privileges based on behavior.

In this article:
No Party Group Management: Prevent specific students from being in the hall at the same time to reduce incidents like bullying or vandalism.
Campus Blackout Schedules: Block all hall pass creation during specific times, such as the first and last 10 minutes of a period.

Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting
Conflict with Multiple Groups:
If a student is in two different No Party Groups, they will be blocked if any member from either group is currently in the hall.
Permission Errors:
If you cannot see the Restrictions tab, ensure your account has Owner, Manager, or Hall Pass Manager permission levels assigned.
Students are being blocked by the Blackout Schedule when they shouldn't be:
Double check that one of the time blocks is not set to PM instead of AM or vice versa. Often a time block may be entered as 8:00 am to 8:10 pm in error, which then prevents any passes from being created between those two times.
