Step 1: Installing MCG app to Intercom Messenger
Go to Settings -> Integrations -> App Store in your Intercom account and search for Mini Course Generator.
Select Mini Course Generator App from the search results and Click Install now.
You will navigated to another tab. On the tab that opened, click Connect to Intercom.
After that, Click Authorize access to give access Mini Course Generator to integrate with Intercom.
🎊 Congrats, Mini Course Generator is integrated with Intercom Messenger. Let’s add your courses to Intercom Messenger now.
Step 2: Adding Collection or Course to Intercom Messenger
In Intercom, navigate to Settings -> Channels -> Messenger.
Change Visitors to Users to show your courses only to your users.
Expand Customize Home with apps section.
Click Add an app button at the below and select Mini Course Generator application.
Adding a Collection Block
Choose "Create a new collection block".
Select the collection you want to present in your Intercom Messenger.
Specify your Academy Block Title, Subtitle, and Button text for extra customization.
You can also choose to hide the thumbnail image of the collection in Intercom Messenger, then click Submit.
Adding a Course Block
Choose "Create a new course block".
Select a collection to pick a course inside of it.
ℹ️ Individual mini courses cannot be displayed directly in Intercom Messenger. If your course is individual, create a new collection and put it inside of it to present in Intercom Messenger.
Select the course you want to present.
Specify your Academy Block Title, Subtitle, and Button text for extra customization.
You can also choose to hide the thumbnail image of the course in Intercom Messenger.
Where should users land?
You can also choose where learners go after clicking the block’s button.
Go to course landing page (Default): Learners are redirected to the course landing page, where they can start the course and read more details.
Go to first card directly: Skips the landing page and starts the course immediately.
Then click Submit.
Adding a Report Block (optional)

Now click Save and set live button on the right top of page to set live your changes.
🎊 Congrats, you've successfully added your Mini Course Collection to your Intercom Messenger.
ℹ️ Changing Collection name will create a new learner group for Intercom Integration. Please be aware of this before making any changes.
Using Learning Data in Intercom Workflows
After adding your Mini Course Collection to your Intercom Messenger, you can build custom workflows or outbound messages using your learners' learning data.
Data points that we send to Intercom:
Started the Collection
Completed the Collection
Example: Sending a chat message from Intercom Messenger after a learner completes a Collection.
Navigate to Outbound within your Intercom account and click + New Message in the top-right corner of the screen.
Click Chat option.
Scroll down and expand the Rules section.
Click + Add audience rule and select the rule named Your Collection Name's Status.
Select Completed status.
