Overview

Mintsoft has the ability to automatically determine which courier service to apply to orders based on a number of different methods. Once set up, the system will work its way through the following list in order to determine which courier service to apply to an order.

1. Courier details supplied on an order

If the courier service is supplied with an order e.g. via a spreadsheet upload, FTP etc that exactly matches the name of a courier service set up in the system then that will be used otherwise it'll check for the next step.

2. Courier Service Mapping

Mapping allows the name of shipping tags from various order sources to be linked to the name of a courier service in Mintsoft.

3. Courier Service Selection Rules

Rules can be set up based on a number of factors to give complete flexibility - on shipping destination (countries or zones), weights and order values.

4. Cheapest Pricing Logic

If enabled, and none of the above steps has been applied, the system can look for the cheapest courier service that conforms to shipment weight.

For 3PL Customers the Cheapest Pricing Logic is set individually on the 3PL Clients details page. For Multi-Channel customers its set on the Client Settings page.

Enabling Default Courier Service based on Price if no Courier Mapping on the Defaults tab within the 3PL Client details page or Client Settings page for Multi-Channel customers will use the Cheapest Pricing Logic.

5. Product-Specific Rules

You can set SKU-specific couriers services or switching rules. Switching rules will change an auto-determined courier to another if required e.g. if you know an item will be determined as a Large Letter but is too big and needs to go as a packet.

6. Order Rules

Order rules can be set (additional module) that will override all other rules based on set conditions (address/customer/warehouse data).
