This guide lists the hardware and software requirements for using the Access Mintsoft mobile app, including compatible barcode scanners, smartphones, printers, and browser versions.
Recommended hardware
Note: If you're using scanners not listed below, you'll need to test them yourself, as we cannot guarantee they'll work with the Access Mintsoft app.
Barcode scanners
We recommend purchasing devices we've tested and know work with the Access Mintsoft mobile app from the list below. We can't guarantee other devices will work. All devices must be running at least Android 11+.
Newland devices (including MT65 and MT90)
Newland devices specifically must be running Android 11+ to work.
Newland devices have some additional scanner configuration settings.
Zebra devices (including TC21, TC22, and TC26)
Zebra TC20 isn't supported.
Zebra devices have some additional scanner configuration settings.
Honeywell devices (including CK65)
Honeywell CK65 is supported to use the Access Mintsoft app, but GS1 scanning isn't supported. This may be rectified in newer devices, as it's a limitation of the software on that device.
Honeywell devices have some additional scanner configuration settings.
Keyence devices
BT-A700GE only.
Smartphone usage
If you're using an Android smartphone with the Access Mintsoft app, you must pair it with a Bluetooth barcode reader. The Access Mintsoft app doesn't use the phone's camera for scanning.
Recommended software
Android 11+ is the software version we officially support on the scanner to use the Access Mintsoft app. We don't provide support to customers using Android 10 or below on the Access Mintsoft app.
Printers
Mobile printing typically routes via the courier print tool, but we also have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi printing options.
Google Chrome
We recommend that you use Google Chrome on all scanner devices. The version must be Chrome v96+.
Check for any updates on the Google Play Store. It was released in 2021, so most new devices should ship with it by default.
