This function is primarily used to deal with large letter mappings but can be used for other scenarios if required such as if light items are too large to be sent as RM packets.
The courier service selection rules do not allow for product dimensions, so to deal with the situation where a packet service is selected for an order but it should be large letter - you can use the switch courier rule for each product that is able to be sent as a large letter.
This can be done via a spreadsheet upload or individually by editing each product.
Creating a Courier Switch - Manually
To create a Courier Switch within the product details, please follow the steps below:
Click Products then Overview.
Search for the required product.
Click Actions then Edit.
Click the Default tab then Courier Switching sub-tab.
Set the service you want to switch from/to and click Add
Add additional rules as required.
For Example, 2nd Class Packet orders to change to 2nd Class Large Letter.
Creating a Courier Switch - In bulk
To create a Courier Switch in bulk for multiple products, please follow the steps below:
Click Products then Extras.
Click Upload Additional Info.
Select CourierServiceSwitch as the Template.
Click Download.
Populate the CSV with the following information -
SKU.
Old Courier.
New Courier.
Multi Line.
Set to TRUE if you want the switch rule to apply on orders containing this and other SKUs, otherwise set to FALSE.
Once finished, click Save.
Within the Upload Spreadsheet section on Mintsoft, click Choose file.
Browse for the CSV.
(3PL Only) Select the Client.
Select the Type as CourierServiceSwitch.
Finally, click Upload.
Multi-line orders
By default, this setting will only apply to an order if it contains only this item (single line order). If you want the rule to apply on multi-line orders (where multiple products are contained within an order) there is an option available. Be careful as this will override other courier service rules.
Bulk deleting Courier Switch rules
Currently, customers can't delete courier service switch records in bulk. If you want to delete all courier service switch records, then please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article.
Note: Mintsoft Support can only delete all records, for 3PLs we can delete per client.
The current workaround would be to run the Product Courier Service Switch and export the data to a CSV file. Then request for all the courier service switch records to be deleted and then amend the downloaded CSV file to only include the records you want and then reupload it.
