Overview
The reason quarantine stock is being allocated to orders is because of the location type assigned to the location which holds the stock.
Stock that requires quarantine must be stored in an OffHand location, whereas sellable stock should be kept in an OnHand location.
For the affected location, the Location Type must have the OffHand toggle enabled to stop quarantined stock from being allocated to orders. It would be best that you create a new location type and tick the OffHand box if you want to use the existing location for good sellable stock.
Updating an existing location type
If you want to amend the current location type, then please do the following:
Note: Location types can only be edited for empty locations; if there is stock in the location you wish to modify, an error will be displayed.
Click Warehouse then Extras.
Next, click Location Types.
Find the location affected then click Edit.
Tick the OffHand location and then Save.
Creating an OffHand location and location type
To create a new Location and Location Type, please do the following:
Click Warehouse then Extras.
Next, click Location Types then Add Location Type
Enter a Name and set a Priority.
Enable the OffHand toggle.
Next, click Save.
Click Warehouse then Manage Warehouses.
Click Locations against the desired warehouse.
Next, click Add New Location.
Select the Zone, Aisle, Shelf and Name.
Select the OffHand Location Type you just created.
The Name field will be generated based on Zone*Aisle*Shelf*Name.
Type a value into the Simple Location Name field to override the calculation.
The Simple Location Name must be unique per location in the Warehouse if the same name is used twice an error (Simple Location: x already exists!) will show.
(Optional) Set the Pick Sequence.
Click Create.
Note: If you have created a new location or location type, it is essential to transfer the quarantined stock to this new location.
