Low Stock Report

The LowStockReport allows you to see all products that currently meet the Threshold you have set on the product. For example, you can set the Low Stock Level to 5 then if the product's stock level meets this or drops below it, the product will be displayed on the report.

Low Stock Alerts

It is possible to set up Low Stock Alerts so selected users can get notified when stock levels reach a set amount. This can be done via Scheduled Reports with the ReportType set to LowStock.

You can set the low stock alert level on the product via the Extra Details tab. Or you can upload in bulk via the Product Upload template. All you would need is the SKU and LowStockAlertLevel field to add the levels without affecting existing product data.

Note: Dont remove or rename any of the columns, if they are not needed just leave them blank.

If you have scheduled this Low Stock report, it would only be sent if there is a record in Mintsoft. If there is no record against the warehouse stock was booked in then the report will not be sent.

Inventory - Traffic Light indicator

To give you a low stock overview at a glance you can see Green, Amber or Red colours against your inventory figure on the Products Overview screen. Once a product has a Low Stock Alert Level set. This will use a Traffic Light indicator on the Products Overview screen.

  • Green: If a products inventory shows in Green, this means the stock level is equal or more than the set Low Stock Alert Level.

  • Amber: If a products inventory shows in Amber, this means the stock level is below the set Low Stock Alert Level.

  • Red: Products with a Low Stock Alert Level set will show the inventory in Red if the level hits zero.

Example

In the example below, I have a products Low Stock Alert Level set to 100:

  • Warehouse 1 shows in Green due to it meeting the low stock level.

  • Warehouse 2 shows in Red due to it hitting zero.

  • Warehouse 3 shows in Amber due to it being lower than the low stock level.
