This is the overview of our Ranking section. This feature allows you to search for players via various criteria and rank them using our EPI indicators as a ranking indicator. In Scoutpad all rating indicators are set by default. Here you have the power to set your own preferences as rating indicators and the system will calculate and display them.

The page consists of three main parts. Indicator selection on top, where you choose your ranking criteria. Rankings table underneath, where are displayed the player ranks. Player filter section on the right, where you filter the players you want to rank.

Selecting indicators

In this section you select the primary indicators that will determine the player ranks. Secondary indicator that will be highlighted by the available color scale. Or you can download the results to your device.

The available customizations are:

  • CUSTOMIZE RATING: Select the indicators for your rankings. If you select more than one indicator the average values will be shown as Rating.

  • COLOR: Select to highlight secondary indicator, player's age, played minutes or contract expiry date via color scale.

  • DOWNLOAD PDF: Select to download the whole rankings table on your device.

Rankings table

The rankings table is composed of positional-based columns. The players will be listed in each column, according to their rating value i.e., rank. Each row displays the player's rank, basic info, rating, second indicator's value & color. Extra sorting options are available for every position. Hovering over a player will make him available for selection into your favorites list and will activate a popup panel.

POSITIONS: For even more detailed observations you can exploit the "ALL POSITIONS" or "DETAILED POSITIONS" options:

  • POSITIONS ALL: Matches for every detailed position are considered separately, but all detailed positions are displayed in this list. A player can appear multiple times here if he meets the other filter criteria.

  • POSITIONS DETAILED: Matches for every detailed position are considered separately and shown here. A player can appear only once on this list.

Table legend: player's rank, team crest, full name, first indicator's value, secondary indicator's value and color.

COLOR SCALE: The available color scheme adds a second dimension to the rankings table, visualising the values of your secondary indicator. Depending on that value, player rows will be dyed from grey to yellow, for lowest to highest value.

INFORMATIONAL POPUP PANEL: The panel popups when you hover over a player row in the rankings table. It contains quick access links, some basic information and EPI ratings. Very convenient for both, quick observation or selecting the player for further analysis.

The popup panel contains:

  • Small icons: Copy to clipboard; Add to favorites; Close popup.

  • Player info: Full name; Nationality; Club; Playing position;

  • EPI/standard stats: Season rating; Defence rating; Offence rating; / Played mins; Contract expire; Player value;

  • EPI graphs: Polar charts mean values are shown for filtered players

  • DETAILS: Click to open player's profile page.

  • COMPARE: Click to open the player compare feature.
