How to compare players

Quick guide on how to use the compare feature

The feature allows you to pick players and compare their performance and stats for a particular season and competition. You can compare players from different leagues, make a comparison of players performance from different seasons. Or even analyze a player's performance deviation throughout the years.

To open the feature's page, look for the compare icon. You can find it on every player profile page, on every player popup panel or in the player search panel.

Player selection

At the start, you can select up to four players for comparison. You will also need to add the preferred season, competition and position:

  • CHOOSE PLAYER: Type player's name and select him from the list.

  • CHOOSE SEASON: Select the season you want to load data from.

  • CHOOSE LEAGUE: Select competition.

  • CHOOSE POSITION: Select preferred played position.

  • ADD: Confirms selected preferences and opens the player panel.

Player information panels

The player panels provide some basic information and statistics for the selected season and competition. EPI charts are placed underneath for a quick observation. The panel is also supplied with quick access links for easier navigation.

The panel contains:

  • Small icons: Visit player profile; Edit selected preferences; Close panel;

  • Basic info: Rating; Stability; Def rating; Off rating; Matches; Mins played; Goals; Assists;

  • COMPARE LAST SEASON: Select this option on the player panel to compare his performance to his last season's performance. All other player panels will be closed.

  • EPI & standard stats: Overall rating; Stability; Def rating; Off rating; Matches; Mins played; Goals; Assists;

  • EPI charts: EPI statistics from the selected season represented in polar charts.

Charts

The comparisons are displayed in two sections below. First for EPI statistics and second for standard statistics. Both represented by a total 0-10 rating, visualised in vertical bar charts representing their value.

EPI CHARTS: This section displays comparison between EPI statistics for the selected season and competition. Every player is represented by a different color bar, on top of the is the rating value and underneath you can find the player's name.

STANDARD STATS CHARTS: This section displays comparison between Standard statistics for the selected season and competition. Identical to the EPI chart, every player is represented by a different color, on top of the bars is the rating value and underneath you can find the player's name.
