You can measure the results that MNTN Ad Impressions drive for your Mobile App within your AppsFlyer Reporting Dashboard. Please follow the instructions below to make sure the impression tag setup and attribution for MNTN CTV Campaigns within AppsFlyer.
We currently support a 1-way integration with AppsFlyer. You can track MNTN campaigns within the AppsFlyer Reporting Dashboard, but we don't currently offer to report on Mobile App activity within the MNTN Reporting Dashboard.
AppsFlyer OneLink Creation
To track MNTN campaign performance, you'll need to set up an impression tracker to place within your MNTN account by leveraging AppsFlyer's OneLink Template. This allows for CTV-to-mobile app attribution using cross-platform impression URLs
Create a OneLink template
You must set up your OneLink for Cross-Platform Attribution
A single template supports your app across multiple operating systems (meaning one template works for across all devices).
Enable Cross-Platform Attribution via OneLink Template Management
In the Cross-platform attribution section of the OneLink Template Management, click on the checkbox for cross-platform attribution.
Each app can only be added to one OneLink template with cross-platform attribution enabled.
💡 This step must be completed in order for your impression tag to work properly. If not, the impression tag will return a “This site can’t be reached” Error message when you test the link on your Desktop browser.

Activate the MNTN Partner Integration
Once you have completed your Cross-Platform Onelink template, it's time to set up the MNTN integration.
Search for MNTN, either from the Partner Marketplace or from the AppsFlyer side menu, selecting Collaboration > Active Integrations page.
Select the MNTN Ad Network Integration to configure.
⏸️ Do not select MNTN > Tech Partner.
Setting up MNTN's Integration Tab
Once you have selected the MNTN Partner Integration, you'll be moved onto the "Integration" Tab, where you will be able to manage the integration connections. Follow the steps below to ensure the integration is set up properly:
✅ Activate MNTN as a Partner - this toggle should read "ON"
✅ Enable or Disable Advanced Privacy based on your custom requirements:
We recommend disabling advanced privacy in order to see full attribution credit in MNTN
If you do enable advanced privacy, it’s important to note that this can impact the install events that MNTN can receive back from AppsFlyer since MNTN is not an Advanced Privacy Partner
✅ Toggle "Install View-Through Attribution" ON
This allows for attribution of new installs and re-attributions of users who viewed your ad but did not click on it, which is necessary for all CTV advertisements
✅ Enable Cross-Platform Equal Attribution Priority:
This enables cross-platform impressions to have the same attribution priorities as deterministic clicks for a set timeframe
We recommend selecting 6 hours for the attribution priority lookback
✅ Set up your Default Postbacks
Select "Install" as the event name if it's not already selected
In "For Users From" select "All Media Sources, Including Organic"
This provides MNTN with all install postbacks, which we leverage against our own attribution methodology in our MNTN reporting dashboard.
✅ Toggle In-App Event Postbacks "OFF"
MNTN only reports out on Installs in the MNTN Reporting Dashbaord, so passing additional in-app event postbacks is not necessary
✅ "Save" the Integration and move onto the Attribution tab
Setting up MNTN's Attribution Link Tab
Next, you'll complete the steps in the "Attribution Link" tab.
✅ Choose "OneLink" as your Attribution Link Type
Select the OneLink template you created for cross-platform attribution.
✅ Fill out your Attribution Link Parameters
You can find a list of the dynamic macros that MNTN will accept here.
You can add or remove attribution link parameters as needed. We recommend the following Values for each Parameter Names that are populated by AppsFlyer:
Site ID (af_siteid) = ${aid}
Campaign Name (c): ${campaign_name}
Ad ID (af_ad_id) = ${crid}
Ad Set ID: af_adset_id = ${cgid}
Campaign ID: af_c_id = ${cagid}
Add any additional attribution parameters as needed for your campaign. Use naming conventions that identify your CTV-to-mobile app campaign.
Learn more about the parameters you can add for additional data and metrics.
The following dynamic macros are auto-generated in the impression tag, and do not have to be listed on this step:
IP address: af_ip=${ip}
User Agent: af_ua=${useragent}
Referrer: af_ref=${referrer}
✅ Scroll down to View-through attribution and turn on Cross-platform attribution.
Set the Cross-platform view-through attribution lookback window to 72 hours.
This indicates the number of hours following the impression during which the app install can be attributed to the impression.
View-through Attribution should be set to 24 hours, however, the integration will use the Cross-platform Attribution window instead when turned on as View-Through attribution does not apply for this integration
✅ Locate and copy your Impression Attribution Link once all steps are complete
Example OneLink Impression Tag:
https://impressions.onelink.me/onelink_template_id_here?pid=’mntn_int’&af_siteid=${aid}&c=${campaign_name}&af_ad_id=${crid}&af_adset_id=${cgid}&af_c_id=${cagid}&af_ip=${ip}&af_ua=${useragent}&af_ref=${referrer}&af_xplatform=true&af_xplatform_vt_lookback=72h
Since we will be leveraging the cross-platform lookback window, we do not need the view-through lookback parameter in the impression tag. Please remove
&af_viewthrough_lookback=24h
from the tag before placing it in the MNTN Platform
Setting Up the Permissions Tab
✅ Enable MNTN Ad network permissions - this provides Read Access to your reporting. See the Scribe Process Outline here
Applying Impression Tags in MNTN
✅ Add the OneLink URL to your MNTN campaigns as an impression tag
Once you have completed all of the previous steps, your impression tag is ready to be added to your MNTN account. You can add this as an Account Default tag, or add it to each individual creative.
Follow our Using Macro-Enabled Impression Tracking Tags Article if you need to learn more about applying the impression tags.
