Once you add the map widget to your site, the settings will appear in the side panel of the editor. Here’s a breakdown of each setting.
Map Center
Set the initial location for your map when it loads.
To center your map in a specific location (e.g., New York City), enter the latitude and longitude in the input fields.
Use this online tool to easily find the latitude and longitude of your desired location.
Padding Adjustment
You can add padding to the top and bottom of the map to control the spacing around it. Use the slider to add up to 100px of padding. This helps you create the desired space between the widget and other elements on your page.
Starting Zoom Level
Controls how zoomed in or out the map is when it loads.
Use the slider to adjust the zoom level: zoom in for a closer view or zoom out to show a larger area.
Height
Adjust the height of the map widget.
A 100vh setting will make the map fill the entire height of the screen, while a lower vh value will create a shorter map display.
Branding
The map’s branding (buttons, pins, and colors) automatically matches the branding colors from your Moast admin settings.
Mobile Title
This is the title shown on mobile devices to prompt users to open the full-screen map.
By default, the title is "See who's nearby" but you can customize this text.
This prompt is only used on mobile to open the full-screen map experience, which is optimized for mobile devices. The full-screen map provides a better experience, displaying real avatars of your customers above the title text.
