A tips button can be added to the TouchPoint payment screen which can be used to record tips received from customers.

The tip amounts will be added to the in drawer totals and also appear as a Tips 1 total on the end of day report.

Tips that are entered on their own ie outside of a transaction are recorded against the cash in drawer total.

  • Sign on

  • Press the tips button

  • Enter the tips amount

  • The tips amount is recorded against cash in drawer

Tips can also be entered as part of a transaction, in which case the tips amount is recorded against the payment method used to finalise the transaction eg card or cash.

  • Sign on

  • Sell products

  • Press the tips button

  • Enter the tips amount

  • Finalise the sale with a method of payment eg card or cash

  • The tips amount is recorded against the in drawer linked to the method of payment
