Sometimes a cash drawer may get jammed due to notes or coins inside the cash drawer.
Cash drawers have a manual release lever on the underside of the cash drawer, near the back.
Make sure the cash drawer keylock is in the vertical open position.
Tilt the cash drawer to one side so that you can reach under and press the manual release lever. This should open the cash drawer.
Carefully remove the cash drawer insert that holds the notes and coins.
Now you can check inside the cash drawer for notes and coins etc that may have fallen behind or underneath the cash drawer insert and caused the jam.
