Before You Start
You need Shopify collections for each step. If you haven't created them:
Go to Products → Collections in Shopify admin
Click Create collection
Name it (e.g., "Appetizers", "Main Courses")
Add products
Repeat for each step
Collections can be manual or automated. Aim for 3-10 products per collection. Note that bundle products can't be included in collections used for steps — bundles can't contain bundles.
Step 1: Start a New Bundle
Open MOD Bundles from Shopify admin
Click Create Bundle
Select Collection Bundle
Step 2: Enter Bundle Title
Give your bundle a descriptive name — this becomes the product title customers see.
Good titles: "Build Your Date Night Dinner", "Create Your Gift Box", "Design Your Outfit"
Step 3: Add Steps
Click Add Step
For each step, configure:
Collection — Which Shopify collection to pull products from (required) Step Title — Custom name like "Choose Your Starter" (optional, defaults to collection name) Default Product — Pre-select a product (optional). See Default Products. Required — Whether the customer must select something for this stepAdd more steps as needed
Drag to reorder — customers see steps in this sequence
Step 4: Configure Pricing
Choose your discount type:
Option | Description |
No discount | Customers pay sum of selected items |
Percentage off | X% off the total |
Fixed amount off | $X off the total |
Fixed price | Bundle always costs $X |

Step 5: Add Free Gift (Optional)
Click Add Free Gift to include a bonus product at no charge. See Free Gift.
Step 6: Create the Bundle
Review your settings and click Create Collection Bundle.
MOD Bundles creates a Shopify product for your bundle and publishes it to your Online Store.
Step 7: Add to Your Theme
Add the Collection Bundle app block to make it visible. See Adding to Your Store.
Step 8: Test
Visit the bundle page on your storefront
Navigate through each step and make selections
Add to cart and verify contents and pricing
Complete a test checkout
