How It Works
You select a product as the free gift
If that product has variants (size, color), customers can choose their preferred option
The selected variant is added to cart at $0
This is unique to Collection Bundles — Mix & Match free gifts don't support variant selection.
Adding a Free Gift
Create or edit a Collection Bundle
Find the Free Gift section
Click Add Free Gift
Select a product
Save
Variant Selection
Single-variant products: Pre-selected automatically, no customer action needed.
Multi-variant products:
Customer sees the free gift with first variant pre-selected
They can tap to change it
A modal shows all available variant options
Selected variant is added free at checkout
Customizing Free Gift Text
In MOD Bundles → Settings → Bundle Texts → Free Gift Section:

Free Gift Badge Styling
In MOD Bundles → Customization → Collection Bundle → Free Gift Badge:
Background color, text color, font size, border radius, padding
Removing or Changing the Free Gift
Edit the bundle → Free Gift section → remove or select a different product → save. Changes apply to new orders immediately.
Limitations
One free gift per bundle
Custom properties are not transferred to free gifts
Customers cannot opt out of the free gift
Troubleshooting
Not displaying — Check product is published and has inventory
Variant selection not working — Test in incognito mode; check for JavaScript errors
Showing wrong price — Verify product is configured as free gift, not a regular item
