Trip Labels: Name the Trips in Multi-Trip Reservations

Written by Jeffrey

Available on Pro and VIP plans.

When a reservation has multiple trips, they show up by default as Trip 1, Trip 2, Trip 3, and so on. That works, but it can be hard to tell at a glance what each trip is actually for.

With Trip Labels, you can add a short custom name to any trip, like Bridal Transfer, Airport Pickup, or Welcome Reception, so multi-trip reservations and quotes are much easier to identify.

How It Works

  • Add, edit, or clear a trip label directly on the Reservations and Quotes pages.

  • Labels appear in place of the default trip name (for example, "Bridal Transfer" instead of "Trip 1").

  • Labels are also shown to your customers in the customer portal on confirmation pages.

Example

Say a wedding reservation has three trips:

  • Trip 1: Bridal Transfer

  • Trip 2: Welcome Reception

  • Trip 3: Airport Pickup

Without labels, the reservation just shows "Trip 1," "Trip 2," and "Trip 3." With labels, you and your customer can immediately see what each trip is for.

You can also label only some trips. For example:

  • Add "Bridal Transfer" to Trip 1, and that label shows for Trip 1.

  • Add "Welcome Reception" to Trip 2, and that label shows for Trip 2.

  • Leave Trip 3 without a label, and Moovs keeps showing the default name, "Trip 3."

Good to Know

  • Plan requirement: Trip Labels are available for Pro and VIP operators.

  • Length limit: Labels can be up to 30 characters.

  • Saved at the trip level: Each label belongs to its individual trip.

  • Customer view is read-only: Customers can see trip labels but cannot add or edit them.

  • Where labels show today: In this first version, labels appear on the Reservations and Quotes pages and on customer confirmation pages. They are not yet included in PDFs, the scheduler/dispatch views, or invoices.
