Create Precise Pickup and Drop-off Points with Locations

Create venue boundaries and exact pickup or drop-off Points so drivers and passengers navigate to the right entrance.

Available on Pro plans and above.

A street address may lead to the front entrance of an airport, arena, hotel, or other large venue, even when your passenger needs to be picked up somewhere else. Locations lets you save exact pickup and drop-off Points inside a venue so your team, passengers, and drivers can navigate to the correct spot.

For example, you can create a Location called Crypto Arena, then add Points such as Ride Share, Lot A, or Backstage Gate.

Locations and Points

  • Location: The larger venue or property. It includes a name, main address, and boundary drawn on the map.

  • Point: A precise pickup or drop-off spot inside the Location.

Locations is different from Zone Pricing. Locations improves navigation inside a venue. Zone Pricing controls rates between geographic areas.

Create a Location

1. Enter the name and address

  1. Go to Settings → Locations and click Create.

  2. Enter a recognizable Location name, such as an airport, arena, hotel, campus, or convention center.

  3. Search for and select the venue's main address, then click Next.

2. Draw the boundary

Click the map to outline the venue. Click the first point again to close the shape, then click Next.

3. Add exact Points

Click inside the boundary to drop a pin, enter a clear label, and click Add point. Repeat for any additional pickup or drop-off spots.

4. Save and review

Click Save. The Location overview displays the saved boundary and all Points.

Boundary and Point Limits

  • A boundary needs at least 3 map points and supports up to 25.

  • Each Location must contain at least 1 Point.

  • Each Location can contain up to 10 Points.

  • Points must be placed inside the Location boundary.

  • Each Point within a Location needs a unique name.

Use a Point on a Quote or Reservation

  1. Create or edit a quote or reservation in the Operator App.

  2. Enter a pickup, drop-off, or stop address that falls inside a saved Location boundary.

  3. Moovs displays a Point selector below the address.

  4. Choose the correct saved Point, or keep Google default pin if the standard address is correct.

  5. Complete and save the quote or reservation.

If an address is inside overlapping Locations, Moovs groups and displays the Points from each matching Location.

What Drivers and Passengers See

  • The original venue address remains visible on the trip.

  • The selected Point appears as an additional label, such as Point: Ride Share.

  • Map links use the saved Point's precise navigation data instead of relying only on the venue's main address.

  • The selected Point is preserved when supported trip changes or stop-order changes are made.

Edit or Delete a Location

Open Settings → Locations and select a Location to view its boundary and Points.

  • Click the Edit icon to rename the Location or add and remove Points.

  • A Location's main address and boundary cannot be changed after creation. If either is incorrect, delete and recreate the Location.

  • Click the Delete icon to remove a Location from future use.

Previously saved trips keep a copy of their selected Point information, so editing or deleting a Location does not silently change historical trips.

Troubleshooting

I do not see Settings → Locations

Confirm that your company is on a supported plan and that your user has permission to access Locations. If the page is still unavailable, contact Moovs Support through the chat.

The Point selector does not appear on a trip

  • Confirm the entered address is inside the Location boundary.

  • Confirm the Location contains at least one active Point.

  • Try selecting the address again from the address search results.

A Point is in the wrong place

Remove the incorrect Point and add it again at the correct spot. If the boundary is incorrect, recreate the Location.
