How to pay with a QR code in Thailand

Paying with QR codes in Thailand is quick and easy with Moreta. Here’s how you can make seamless payments using ThaiQR codes:

Updated over 2 weeks ago

1. Scan the QR Code

Open the Moreta app and use it to scan the QR code from the merchant. Thailand accepts QR codes registered with ThaiQR, so as long as the merchant is using this system, the payment will be processed smoothly.

2. Enter Payment Details

Once the scan is successful, the payment details of the merchant will automatically appear in the app. Enter the amount you wish to pay.

3. Review Payment

Before proceeding, carefully review your payment information. Double-check the payment amount and the merchant’s name to ensure everything is correct.

4. Send Payment

Once you’ve reviewed the details, slide the blue slider to the right to securely send your payment to the merchant. The transaction will be processed instantly.

5. Payment Successful!

After the payment is successfully completed, you’ll see a ‘Payment successful’ receipt on your screen. You can show this receipt to the merchant, and they can even take a picture for their records if needed.

With these simple steps, you can enjoy hassle-free payments while shopping or dining in Thailand.
