Omnisend Integration Guide

Overview

The Omnisend integration allows Mortar DS to seamlessly connect with your email and SMS marketing platform, providing a single, unified view of your customer engagement data.

By integrating Omnisend, Mortar DS helps you consolidate customer lists, campaign metrics, and engagement activity (such as opens, clicks, and unsubscribes) into one place. This enables more accurate segmentation, smarter targeting, and improved performance tracking across your marketing channels.

Mortar connects securely to Omnisend through Airbyte as a data sub-processor. All data transfers are fully encrypted, and only you and authorised team members can access your connected data.

How to Connect Omnisend to Mortar DS

Step 1: Access the Omnisend Integration

1. In your Mortar DS dashboard, go to the Integrations page.

2. Click Omnisend to open the integration setup panel.

3. Click Connect to start the integration process.

Step 2: Enter Your Omnisend API Key

1. When prompted, paste your Omnisend API Key into the Mortar connection window.

2. Click Connect to authorise and link your account.

Step 3: Create and Retrieve Your Omnisend API Key

If you don’t yet have an API key, follow these steps in your Omnisend account:

1. Log in to your Omnisend account.

2. Click on your Profile Icon (top-right corner).

3. Navigate to Store Settings → API Keys.

4. Click Create API Key.

5. Edit the API key appropriately

6. Click Save, then copy the newly generated API Key.

Return to Mortar DS and paste this key into the connection window to finalise your integration.

Step 4: Data Synchroniation

Once connected, Mortar DS will begin syncing your Omnisend data automatically.

  • The initial synchronisation may take between 1 and 12 hours, depending on the size and availability of your data.

  • After the first sync is complete, your Omnisend data will update continuously and securely in near real-time.

  • You can safely close your Mortar dashboard during the sync — data transfer happens in the background.

Step 5: Verify the Connection

When the integration is successful, the Omnisend icon on your Mortar DS integrations page will display a green box in the upper-right corner, confirming that the connection is active.

You’re All Set!

Your Omnisend account is now connected to Mortar DS.
You can now:

  • View unified campaign and engagement data alongside your sales and customer insights.

  • Create audience segments using Omnisend behavioral data.

  • Measure how email and SMS performance impacts conversions.

  • Use Mortar’s consolidated dataset to plan and optimise your marketing strategies.
