Custom statuses allows users to tailor their job management process to their specific needs. Follow these steps to create, view, and assign custom jobsheet statuses:

Adding a New Status

  1. Open VGM and navigate to "Config > Settings" from the top toolbar.

  2. In the main settings tab window, locate and select the tab labelled ‘Jobsheet statuses.

  3. In the Jobsheet statuses grid, click on the "New" button to create a new custom status.

  4. Enter a description for the new status.

  5. Optionally, choose a background colour to visually differentiate this status from others.

Assigning a Jobsheet Status

  1. From the Jobsheets grid, there are two ways to assign a status:

    • Select one or more jobs in the grid and use the ‘Set custom status‘ dropdown in the top menu.

    • Right-click on a job in the grid and choose the ‘Set custom status‘ option.

Viewing Jobs by Jobsheet Status

  1. Navigate to "Jobs > Jobsheets" in VGM to access the Jobsheet grid.

  2. Locate the column labelled ‘Custom status.’ If it’s not visible, click on "Config" in the top toolbar to ensure the column is displayed.

  3. You can also use additional filtering options in the top right of the grid to view jobs with specific statuses.
