Generating service checklists for any vehicle is straightforward and allows you to create custom checklists tailored to each vehicle.

When a customer brings in their vehicle for an annual service, you can quickly generate a service schedule based on the vehicle's mileage. You'll receive a printable checklist containing all mandatory items, and you can also add optional items by simply checking the relevant checkboxes. Each item is associated with a time estimate, providing insight into the duration of each task and helping determine the appropriate customer charges.

To find available service checklists, follow these steps:

Finding a Service Schedule for a Vehicle:

To access the technical data section of VGM, click on 'Search' in the top toolbar, then select 'Technical Data'. This will take you to the main technical data screen.

Enter the vehicle registration into the registration box in the top left and click 'Search'.

Note: If we're unable to retrieve any data for the vehicle (e.g., if the registration doesn't exist), no credit is used.

From here, the 'Subjects' drop-down menu will display all normal subjects. To access the service schedules, select the bottom item labelled 'Service Checklists'.

Choosing 'Service Checklists' will open the tree-view on the left-hand side, displaying various service types such as annual service or bi-annual service. Selecting a specific service will provide further options based on mileage.

If you select a checklist, you'll see an itemized list of tasks grouped in two ways:

  • Mandatory Items: These tasks should always be performed for this type of service.

  • Optional Items: Additional tasks that can be added. To include them, simply check the checkbox next to each item. Checking an optional item will update the total service duration displayed at the bottom of the page.

Once you've selected the items to include in the service, click the 'Print' button at the bottom to generate a hard copy that can be given to technicians on the workshop floor.
