As part of our December 2021 release, we have revamped how service checklists work within VGM and the embeddable online booking system. This new feature enhances your ability to provide detailed service comparisons to your customers. Note that this functionality is only available with our latest booking system. If you are using an older system, contact us to migrate to the latest version at no cost.
Configuring a Service Checklist
Create a New Checklist
Go to Config > Vehicle Checklists > Checklist Templates. Click the New button.
Build Your Checklist:
Link Checklist to Slot Type Group
Go to Config > Slots > Slot Type Groups.
Double-click the slot type group to which you want to link the checklist.
Select your newly created checklist from the checklist dropdown.
Click Save.
Configure Service Types
Go to Config > Slots > Slot Types. Find the first service in the slot type group linked to the checklist. Double-click to open the Edit Slot Type window.
Go to Web > Checklist Templates. Use the checkboxes to select which items are included in the checklist for each service type.
Repeat the above steps for each service type within the slot type group.
Viewing the Checklist in the Booking System
Once the checklist is configured, a link will appear next to the slot type group within your booking system. This link allows customers to view a complete comparison checklist of the services offered.
Note: If the checklist link is not visible, contact us as you may be using a legacy booking system.
