To configure the markup for tyres you sell, follow these steps:

Base Configuration

  • Click on "Config" in the top toolbar, then select "Tyres."

  • In the "General" tab, configure how the markup will be applied to your local pricing.

  • Choose your markup criteria (1):

    • Category: Apply different markup amounts to Budget, Mid-Range, and Premium tyres.

    • Cost: Apply markup based on the cost value of the tyre.

    • Rimsize: Apply markup based on the tyre's rim size.

  • Choose the markup type (2):

    • Percentage: Add a percentage of the tyre's cost to its price.

    • Fixed: Add a fixed amount to the tyre's cost.

  • Save your settings.

Configure Tyre Price by Category

  • Click on the "Markup" tab, then select the "Category" tab.

  • Click "New" and enter the markup amount.

  • Select the tyre category (Budget, Mid-Range or Premium) and ensure the markup type is set to "Local" Or "Local (Group Tyre)".*

  • Click "Save" and repeat for each category.

Configure Tyre Price by Cost

  • In the "Markup" tab, select "Cost."

  • Click "New" and enter the "Value From" and "Value To" range to define the price band by cost.

  • Enter the markup amount and ensure the markup type is set to "Local" Or "Local (Group Tyre)".*

  • Click "Save" and repeat for each price band.

In this example we are setting a mark up of £20/20% on all rim costs so I have set the "Value To" high to cover all tyre costs that my be in the system

Configure Tyre Price by Rim Size

  • In the "Markup" tab, select "Rim size."

  • Click "New" and enter the "Value From" and "Value To" range to define the price band by rim size.

  • Enter the markup amount and ensure the markup type is set to "Local" Or "Local (Group Tyre)".*

  • Click "Save" and repeat for each price band.

In this example we are setting a mark up of £20/20% on any rims up to 12" so need to specify from 0" to 11.99".

You can create as many price bands as you require by simply repeating the process on the mark up criteria you wish to use.

*"Local" refers to stock you have at your garage. "Local (Group Tyre)" refers to any stock you have transferred to local stock from Grouptyre.

NOTE: You can update these mark ups at any time, however they will only be applied to new stock added. Any existing stock will need to be manually updated.
